We offer a play based approach to learning in a Christian environment. Major goals of this class are to introduce children to developing social interaction skills and independence in a group setting. We strive to offer a positive, happy introduction to school where children can learn and enjoy new experiences with their peers. Structured time includes morning prayer, carpet time, and story time. Non-structured play (with intent) allows for creative and dramatic play and social growth. Weekly activities include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), reading readiness, music, child of the week, and Chapel. Daily art projects incorporate a large variety of media including play dough, paint, glue, cutting and coloring. The class focuses on learning to recognize a new color and shape monthly through a variety of games and art activities.

For the 2019-20 school year, children need to turn 3 years-old between 9/1/19 & 6/30/20 and be toilet trained.

Meet our teachers
Miss Cristina started teaching at Messiah in the year 2000 until 2012. She welcomed her son in 2012 and became a stay at home mom. She was blessed with a daughter in 2015. Cristina would sub and even taught Spanish to the children, during her break from full time teaching. She led Parent-tot and taught Miss Diana's daughter Victoria! Now that both of her children are in elementary school, Miss Cristina is back in her own classroom. She is lucky to work with Miss Diana in PreK 1 (Youngest 3's.)
Miss Diana started working at Messiah in June 2021, but she is not a newcomer to our school. Diana began at Messiah, years ago, when she was a 2 year old student in the Parent-Tot class. She returned to Messiah two years ago, with her daughter, Victoria, to the parent-tot class with Miss Cristina as the parent-tot teacher. Now, as an assistant teacher, Diana works with Miss Cristina in the Pre K-1 Youngest 3's classroom. Messiah is extremely excited and proud to have Diana join our staff.
