Pre K-1 and Younger 3's (2 1/2 - 3 year olds)
We offer a play based approach to learning in a Christian environment. Major goals of this class are to introduce children to developing social interaction skills and independence in a group setting. We strive to offer a positive, happy introduction to school where children can learn and enjoy new experiences with their peers. Structured time includes morning prayer, carpet time, and story time. Non-structured play (with intent) allows for creative and dramatic play and social growth. Weekly activities include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), reading readiness, music, child of the week, Spanish, Chapel and a visit from Pastor Lynne . Daily art projects incorporate a large variety of media including play dough, paint, glue, cutting and coloring. The class focuses on learning to recognize a new color and shape monthly through a variety of games and art activities.
